Here's a more direct version of what I like, what turns me off, and all the stuff that, of course, all the horny guys in Italy and Egypt will probably never read. If you're the sort of person I want to meet, you'll probably read this and say, "ah ha!" If you read this and ask, "huh?" then let's just both smile and move on.

People come and go. The buddy list gets cleaned up from time to time when people don't contact me for a while. What's a while? When it feels right, nothing personal. Rarely is removal permanent. If you come back, stop by and say hello. :-)

If you invite me to IM for the first time, I assume you have something to say. So just say it! How weird is it to accept an IM and then get asked, "so what do you want to talk about?"
